The educational guidance for knowledge, growth and development of the community in south India recognized by the educated Youth and resolved to from Muslim Educational Society under the society Registration act of the state. The society was formed in 1981 with registration No.36/1981.

The object of the society was the development of basic and higher educational institutions for the cultural, social and economic and professional upliftment of the community for progress and welfare.






This society keeps the guidance in Almighty Allah and formulated an action plan to attain the goals through a ten point Integrated Islamic Educational Development Programme as detailed here.

  Ten points Educational Development Programmes
1 Children of 5-10 age group in all Jamaats to be given Deeni education with the active cooperation of Ulamas in the mosques and mathrasas
2 Encourage, active local area libraries, reading rooms, internet clubs and welfare associations for literacy, literary development and general awareness for the residents.
3 Special coaching classes to be arranged for SSLC/HSS class students for better standards and for higher results in school area.
4 Poor, financially suffering students of merit will be arranged loans/grants and scholarships through available sources to meet study expenses.
5 Entrepreneurial clubs, Self help groups and associations encouraged for skill training Business practices market ventures and job potentials.
6 Women development skill training and empowerment through education and service associations encouraged.
7 Arabic language study and Deeniyat classes for Youngsters and students with the help of Ulamas and in schools and colleges as curricular/extra curricular activities promoted.
8 Coaching/training facilities for competitive test preparations for Dept. Test, Entrance Tests, Civil service, IAS, IPS other job and admission tests will be arranged.
9 All Jamaats encouraged to promote and run primary/secondary schools attached to he Muhalla Mosques and Mathrasas.
10 Engage college students, N.S.S. volunteers and staff in the field education extension works in the respective muhallas for development.


Educational culture was the pathway for knowledge and basis for all Developments towards progress and peace as proclaimed in Quaranic reference.


  Education set on faith for values and values attached to moral and ethical codes of conduct towards self Development, advancement of society and sustainable living order in this planet. Such a middle order civilsation is our society goal through educational process.  

So we introduced value education as a part of college lessons for students. In this context we developed a teaching text. The way of Islam written by Dr. AMS. Abdul Mughini of patna University on the value system in Islam as a first attempt in South India.

  The well written text book was fore-worded by Dr. Nisar Ahmed of Madras University who ends his comments as "the book is the best addition to Islamic literature produced in India in the Contemporary History".

The Muslim Arts College was started in the Year 1982 at Madavalayam and later shifted to Thiruvanthancode to a spacious Jalal Hospital Compund founded by Janab M.Malik Mohamed sahib, a visionary and Philonthropist of the area. The college initially affiliated in 1984 to (G.O.No. - - - ) Madurai Kamaraj University and later brought under the Manomaniyam Sundaranar University, Thirunelvelli. The vision and mission of the society being.

THE MANAGEMENT GOALS-VISION AND MISSION (College -Up gradation)

Vision : Towards an autonomous College status to serve minority weaker sections of society through higher education and research and extension works.

Mission :
  • Social progress through knowledge based local developments, Encourage basics science and local issue research on agraion field, market oriented business and small industrial encouragements through higher education and applied research on the field level as approach to the goals.
  • To attain secular objectives and co-existence of all philosophies, encourage universal identity of man with equality and social justice for sustainable natural order growth and welfare.
  • Goal oriented research towards a middle order civilization of material and moral benefit to masses based on higher education and knowledge aided by IT for progress and peace.
  • Encourage human resource development in the field of communications and information technology.
  • To help develop job potentials and livelihood through trainings. Women's empowerment programme. Managerial education and training entrepreneurial expertise to minorities and weaker sections of society.
  • Quranic Research and Islamic studies in the college for special awareness and emancipation.


The society is creating an Islamic study center to achieve the objectives of Dawa or information/Knowledge transmission for social welfare. The programmes of such a center includes studies on contemporary topics of Islamic value Qaranic research and arabic langauge development works in the college. The center will be attached to the mosque complex in the campus.
